Hello!

I’m an independent journalist in Oakland, California.

I contribute pieces to The Progressive, Rewire News, and Sierra magazine. I used to be a staff writer at Courthouse News in San Francisco, where I reported on high-profile litigation filed in the Northern District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

Much of that litigation challenged the Trump administration’s controversial policies on reproductive rights, public health, immigration and the environment. These are topics I continue to write about as a freelancer.

I have a Master’s in international relations with an emphasis in human rights law from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s in political science from UC Berkeley.
